Surf's up!! When you live in a land-locked state like Utah, you have to "create" your own beach sometimes. Like turning up the heat, playing the Beach Boys, wearing your swimsuits and blowing up an inflatable canoe in your living room. Trying to create "beach lovers" among my grandchildren, David, Sarah, Allyson, Matthew, Amanda, Brian, and Sam--what good sports you all were.

Good sports??? Those kids still talk about that first "winter's half-over party." You always have such fun ideas!
We should have another beach party, Jeff has a few kayaks we could use this time!!
Wow. Those are quite the shorts I was sporting... kind of like a Speedo meets 1950's basketball shorts. I loved that party. My favorite part was the "lights out scavenger hunt" where we had to find the glow-in-the-dark sea creatures with keys attached to them to open the "treasure chest." I have some great winter half over party memories!
